In 2018, Richard took the challenge to complete 85 miles of the Cumbria Way in the Lake District.
The walk was in aid of raising money for the charity Mind.
‘It was certainly the most challenging experience I have undertaken so far
I can fully recommend the walk and the fantastic scenery which the Lake District provides.’ – Richard
We hope you enjoy the journey!
Mind is a fantastic charity which helps people with mental health, they have helped me, close friends and family.
Richard has chosen this challenge to raise awareness on this issue and also having an avid interest in Hiking and Adventures!
Walking not only hosts a myriad of health benefits but it’s also a great anxiety reliever. But in today’s busy world, it can seem harder than ever to find time to appreciate the world and take advantage of nature’s many benefits. Even a 20 minute walk in nature is enough to reap the benefits and encourage anyone to do the same.
If in any way you are suffering, there are people out there to help! Or even talk to me and we could even arrange a walking trip!
“We should take wandering outdoor walks, so that the mind might be nourished and refreshed by the open air and deep breathing.” – Seneca
